Upgrade Your SuperVee Tremolo with Premium Custom Shop Tone Blocks

While our BladeRunner and Maverick bridges come standard with a lightweight, high-performance "Sustainium" block, upgrading your tone block is the easiest way to completely reshape your guitar's voice, sustain, and attack.

1. Sustainium vs. Brass vs. Steel:         Which Material Do I Need?

Every alloy resonates differently. Choose the material variant above that matches your exact tonal goals:

Material Option Tonal Characteristics & Performance Best For
Sustainium (Standard) A lightweight proprietary alloy that boosts all frequencies equally. Delivers incredible note-to-note separation and an exceptionally balanced EQ. (Fun fact: This is the same alloy used to cast traditional church bells!) Most players looking for a versatile, transparent tone.
Bell Brass (380 Alloy) Machined from premium solid brass. It warms up your overall sound, rolls off harsh highs, and delivers a massive boost in singing, jazzier overtones. The ultimate in long-lasting sustain and warmth.
Carbon Steel (1020 Alloy) Solid carbon steel, beautifully polished and nickel-plated. Yields a much faster note attack and a distinct, punchy low-end response. High-energy, aggressive playing styles and crisp definition.

2. Will This Fit My Squier or Thin-Body Guitar?

Standard aftermarket blocks often stick out of the back cavity on thinner electric guitars, preventing you from putting the tremolo backplate cover on.

For Fender Squier & Thin Bodies: Select the Shorty (Sustainium) variant from the dropdown menu. It is specifically engineered to fit perfectly inside shallower guitar bodies without any modifications.

For Standard Bodies: The standard Sustainium, Bell Brass, and Carbon Steel variants are a direct drop-in fit for standard-depth American and Mexican Fender Stratocasters, as well as our Maverick and BladeRunner bridge systems.

3. What Are the Exact Dimensions?

To ensure absolute compatibility with your guitar setup, use these exact height measurements:

Full-Height Blocks (Standard): Measure 1.7” (43mm) tall x 0.5" (12.7 mm) thick

Shorty Blocks: Measure 1.5” (38mm) tall x 0.5" (12.7 mm) thick
